This webquest was developed as an assignment  in a graduate level class from Wilkes University. I teach 7th grade regular math, 8th grade regular math, 7th grade pre-algebra 1, and 8th grade algebra 1 and intend to use it in all of my classes. The following is how I anticipate using the webquest:

Grade Level: 7th or 8th grade, high or low ability

Prerequisite Skills: no math needed, basic computer typing skills and Internet searching skills required

Duration: several periods - I intend to use the following schedule which requires 6 periods.

1 teacher introduction period ( go through Main, Introduction, and Task pages; start Process page)

2 student work periods (complete Part 1 from Process page, filling out both site evaluation forms)

1 student work periods (complete Part 2 from Process page, filling out personal evaluation form)

1/2 student work period (plan presentations)

1 1/2 student presentation periods (students present and teacher evaluates presentation)

Needed Materials: 1 computer for each student, Internet access, printer access, pencils

Total Value of Webquest:  182 Total Points: 2 Site Evaluations (54 points each), 1 Personal Site Evaluation (54 points), 1 Oral Presentation (20 points)
