The objective of this webquest is to teach your third grade students about the six simple machines and how they will use one or more of them to move a package from their porch up a step and into their house.

Two note taking sheets have been provided for use when completing the Simple Machines Learning Site and the Edheads Simple Machines site. Students will use these to help plan their paragraphs on how to get the package into the house.

They will move from page to page by clicking on the buttons above.

The webquest will take two one-hour computer labs to complete. Additional class time will be needed to write the paragraphs and discuss the activities suggested in the conclusion.
