Conclusion

You have learned to identify the six simple machines and how to use them to make your work easier. You were able to move a heavy package into your house with very little effort. What other ways can you incorporate the use of simple machines to help you with your work? The next time you are trying to move something that seems impossible to move, analyze the situation and choose the simple machine that will help you accomplish the task.

Look around the classroom. Try to identify at least one example of each of the six simple machines. Think about your school day. What simple machines do you use when doing your school work? When you are eating? When you are going to recess?

Bring a simple machine to school. The class will try to identify what kind of simple machine it is and how it will make work easier.
