Autobiographies For this project the students must gather their personal information before they do anything. I have them complete a questionnaire to accomplish this. Once this is done they are ready to organize the information so that they can begin typing. I again use the four-square method of writing to do this. The first copy is done on the laptops. This gives the students the opportunity to check and correct spelling before the rough draft is printed. Naturally this is saved to their folders before printing. I collect the rough drafts to correct grammar and sentence structure. I also make suggestions for content improvement if necessary. The students then go back and make the changes. When this is completed the students may then choose to add some graphics to their autobiographies. I encourage them to choose graphics that fit in with their autobiographies. After the final copy is saved the students make a title page. I take a picture of each student with a digital camera and add it to the title page for them. After the autobiographies are printed out we hang them up in the hall for the other students to see.
