Bite Size Math
This website has activities that would allow students to practice a variety of math skills. Each skill also has a section called a revision bite that gives the students tips on how to do the skill if they are having trouble. Once the student has practiced the skill there is a quiz to assess how well the student has mastered the particular skill. This site has activities for subjects other than math.

Punctuation Game
This is a game that allows the player to insert commas and apostrophes correctly. It is very short and would take my students about five minutes to complete. The player immediately knows if he made the correct choice. A good practice exercise for these two punctuation marks.

Shape Poems
This is a great website to introduce students to writing poems. It explains what a shape poem is and takes them through the process step by step. Students are asked to select a theme and then are guided through the writing process.  Once the poem is complete they are given the option of printing them out on the printer. It is a good lead into writing the poems using pencil and paper.

Simple Machines Activity Sheets
This website offers free activity sheets on simple machines. There is a word search, word scramble, crossword puzzle, etc. It also has a vocabulary worksheet along with the definitions.

Interactive Simple Machines Activity
This is an interactive website that takes a student on a tour of a house. The student chooses a room and must find the simple machines that are there. Once a student clicks on the simple machine he must answer a question about the machine. This interactive activity also gives a tour of a house where the student must find the compound machines.

Pilgrims Voyage to Freedom
This is a Social Studies for Kids website. This particular section explains who the pilgrims were and why they chose to come to the new world.  Students read about life on the Mayflower and about what the pilgrims encountered once they landed.

Interventions for Struggling Readers
This website provides interventions for the classroom teacher to use with struggling readers. Once the problem has been identified a variety of interventions are given to use with that student to help correct the problem.

How to Write a Letter
This is a good website to use to teach students how to write a personal as well as business letters. This site identifies the parts of the letter and explains each one. Students are able to type letters on the website and print them. This is a good introduction to letter writing before using pencil and paper.

Body Systems
This website provides an online tour of the human body. You are able to choose the body system you want to study.

Simple Machines Internet Field Trip
This website takes your students on a tour of various websites that discuss simple machines and provides interactive activities.
