Solar System Scavenger Hunt

This is a really nice scavenger hunt. The site's
information and reading is age appropriate. It give students the
opportunity to learn and/or review facts. It is easy to follow and
a good site for students to work with a partner. I like the site
because it forces students to go to a new site research for information.

An excellent source of information on the solar system.
It has two levels so that children are working on grade appropriate
information. The information is easy to read. It has a lot
of pictures to further learning and understanding of information.
It also includes a glossary for students to look up unfamiliar words.

This site has a table of contents which helps students
with finding information quickly. Great illustration and really good
diagrams to show information. List links for just about anything
you want to know about the solar system. Good site for students
and teachers to use. A lot of ideas for teachers to use in their
lessons.

This website has a ton of information on plants.
It gives you all kinds of definitions along with pictures. It also
has slide shows for students to watch. This site is user friendly
for both students and teachers.

A lot of different categories to view for students.
A lot of animation to catch and hopefully hold students' attention.
Easy to read and links are easy to follow. Nice use of colors and
print for children. A lot of pictures with information.
Delaware Native Americans

Great resource for teachers. It give a really nice
history of the Delaware. It also gives information on anything
from games they played to their clothing. It gives nice pictures
and illustration. It also has a talking dictionary. Some
older students could use this website. However, the teacher could
use this website along with younger students. Especially the
talking dictionary! It would be nice to use in a whole class
activity.
Exploring Pa History

A great resource for teachers. Especially 4th
grade teacher in Mifflin County who teach Pennsylvania history.
This site has tons of information on Pennsylvania History. It also
has regional history which is very helpful when studying regions and
Mifflin County/Central Pa history. I just loved this website. It
has a lot of history that happen right here in Mifflin County. It
also has a timeline, which is very helpful.
Susquehannock Native American

Not a lot of information out there on the Susquehannock
tribe. However, this is probably the best website I found.
It does give you information on their customs, villages, and languages.
This site is for educators or older students. It gives good
information for lesson planning. It gives some other links and
suggestions.
Eastern Woodland Indians

This is a site made by a teacher in Kings Park
Elementary. It is a really nice site for elementary students.
It is easy to read and doesn't give too much information to overwhelm
students. Nice pictures and illustrations.

I found this site to very informational. It was
very easy to read and has a lot of pictures and illustration.
It is a great resource for educators. It also has a lot of links
to some other very fascinating information. Great pictures to copy
and show students or to use in packets.
