Economic Myth Busters Objective: American consumers are bombarded daily, by the media, with information on economic issues. Many times the information provided is either inaccurate or skewed to favor a certain group or party. Your job is to discover and disprove one of these “myths”.
Requirements: 1. Write an essay that at least 600 words in length. 2. In the essay provide details of the myth and prove why it is just that; a myth. 3. You must also provide at least 2 charts or graphs that help to prove your position. 4. Each essay must include five (5) citations. Two of these citations must be a paraphrase of information. One of the citations must involve a statistic. 5. You can use either MLA or APA writing style. 6. You must present a 5-7 minute presentation. This presentation should present the facts that prove why your topic is a myth. 7. Essay must be electronically submitted either by email, CD, or flash drive. Any essay not submitted by 11:59pm on January 9th will automatically be 1/2 credit.
