A Little
About Me
My name is Amanda Shelley and I am the second grade teacher at Lack
Tuscarora Elementary School in Honey Grove, Pennsylvania. I would
like to share some of my information with you since I will be
learning so much about you this year during class.
I grew up in Juniata County and attended school in the Juniata
County School District. In 2001, I graduated from Juniata High
School and decided to pursue my dream of becoming a teacher at
Clarion University of Pennsylvania. I graduated from Clarion with a
degree in Elementary Education in December of 2005.
At that point, I became a substitute teacher for the Juniata County
School District and a teacher at an after school program run by
TIU11. I taught at the after school program throughout the remainder
of the grant while I continued substituting in the district. I
then gained a full time position of the second grade teacher at Lack
for the 2007-2008 school year.
Having grown up in the county, I knew that I always wanted to
return. Teaching at Lack has made it clear that my choice was the
best thing I could have ever done. I enjoy the staff, students, and
families of Lack Tuscarora Elementary and look forward to many years
of teaching to come. |
