Welcome to Mrs. Hartsock's 8th-grade Book Club information page!

Book Club was created for 8th-grade students only. Any 8th-grade student can join Book Club--you do not have to be my student to be in the Book Club.  Book Club is a venue with which you can come together with your classmates and peers to share the love of reading!

Various aspects of Book Club are:

 

  • meeting once a month after school

  • all reading the same novel at the same time

    • provided by me  

  • discussing the novel

  • play-acting various parts of the novel

  • creating next chapters or ideas for sequels

  • socializing

  • going on field trips, when approved

  • getting to know other 8th graders that you might not have a class with

  • forming lasting friendships

To join, just see me soon to sign out the novel we are reading!

You may join at any point during the year.
