The Process
1. Plan details
for the ceremony.
When
(date and time) and where your wedding will take place?
Who will officiate the
ceremony?
2. Decide who is
going to be in your bridal party.
3. Compose a
guest list including all invited from both the bride and groom's side.
4. Plan colors
for your wedding. How and where are you going to incorporate each color?
5. Determine who to
hire. Choose a photographer, florist, DJ or band, baker, and caterer (if
needed).
Photographer - select poses that you
want him to take
Florist - select all flowers that
will be used
DJ - select songs that you want
played for special dances
Baker - choose the style of wedding
cake you want
Caterer (or reception hall) - decide
on
a menu
Musicians - Select music for the
ceremony (Include when in the ceremony it will be done, how it will be
presented, and whom will be presenting it)
6. Select
complete attire for bride, groom, bridal party, and mothers of the bride and
groom.
7. Go to
TheKnot, register, set up the budget, and
print.

so you have an idea of how to break down your costs

As you make final
decisions, insert the costs into the worksheet online. The site will
automatically reconfigure your budget when you click on "update" button.
«You
will need to enter the date, time and place of your wedding, the budgeted dollar
amount, the names of all the members of your wedding party.
8. Start
shopping. Carefully select each item. You will need to weight your
options and make decisions with your budget in mind. No matter what,
you may not go over your budgeted amount.
9. Complete a
newspaper announcement for your wedding.
10. Click and
print
gift registry form
Find items that you would like to
register for and print a picture.
11. Print all of your
final "wedding decisions" and combine them in a 3 ring binder. (In
the order that they appear in the "evaluation.")
12. You will be
comparing and contrasting your wedding plans with other students in your class that were given a
different budget amount.
