FRAMEWORK FOR ASSESSMENT TASKS

1.    Write out the Mifflin County School District benchmark on which the assessment task will focus.

                        Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening 1.5C

 

2.    Write the title of the assessment task which will engage students in demonstrating this benchmark. Describe the task.

Multi-paragraph Paper

Students will write a multi-paragraph paper with controlled and/or subtle organization showing evidence of specific performance indicators or characteristics for organization (1 of 5 for effective writing).

 

3.    What observable and measurable performance criteria will be used to judge what students know and/or can do?

Pre-write that indicates evidence of beginning organization (numbering, graphic organizer)

Writing sample of sufficient length

Specific criteria based on PSSA rubric

 

4.    Design a rubric or checklist to assess the task. Indicate the criteria needed for mastery. Attach to this sheet.
