    2. Write the title of the assessment task which will engage students in demonstrating this benchmark. Describe the task.

    Narrative Writing

    Disguise a turkey so that it is not shot and eaten for Thanksgiving dinner. Write a story explaining disguise and how it saved the turkey.

     

    3. What observable and measurable performance criteria will be used to judge what students know and/or can do?

    Detailed descriptions of places, people, and things relevant to the story.

    Observable beginning, middle, and ending in a logical order.

    Includes a topic sentence in each paragraph with supporting details

     

    4. Design a rubric or checklist to assess the task. Indicate the criteria needed for mastery.
