1. What is the Mifflin County School District benchmark on which the assessment task will focus?
2. Write the title of the assessment task which will engage students in demonstrating this benchmark. Describe the task. Narrative Writing Disguise a turkey so that it is not shot and eaten for Thanksgiving dinner. Write a story explaining disguise and how it saved the turkey.
3. What observable and measurable performance criteria will be used to judge what students know and/or can do? Detailed descriptions of places, people, and things relevant to the story. Observable beginning, middle, and ending in a logical order. Includes a topic sentence in each paragraph with supporting details
4. Design a rubric or checklist to assess the task. Indicate the criteria needed for mastery.
