1. Write out the Mifflin County School District benchmark on which the assessment task will focus. Speak using skills appropriate to formal speech situations.
2. Write the title of the assessment task which will engage students in demonstrating this benchmark. Describe the task. Speaking for a Special Occasion Plan and deliver special occasion speeches such as graduation, acceptance of an award, or presentation of awards.
3. What observable and measurable performance criteria will be used to judge what students know and/or can do? Choose and limit a topic. Adapt a special occasion speech to an audience Make an appropriate presentation – tone, length, content
