2. Write the title of the assessment task which will engage students in demonstrating this benchmark. Describe the task. Mr. Tucket by Gary Paulsen Each student is given a copy of the book Mr. Tucket by Gary Paulsen. (Any appropriate reading selection can be used.) Some chapters are read as a group, some with partners, and some independently. Chapters are discussed as a group. New vocabulary words are highlighted, and comprehension skills are stressed. Following the reading, students are given directions for a diorama depicting a scene from the story. Students construct their scene and write an accompanying explanation of the scene on an index card..
