FIFTH GRADE SONGFEST

Lewistown Elementary School 5th-graders Brittany Miller, Cody Fryer and Emma Michalchik attended the PMEA Elementary Song Fest, to be held at East Juniata High School on Friday, April 3rd, 2009. The Song Fest is an all-day festival in which the children rehearse music that they have practiced in their home schools with over 100 other children from schools in central PA. In the evening they presented a public concert at the high school. LES congratulates Brittany, Cody and Emma!

HIGH SCHOOL CHOIR MEMBERS TO ATTEND ALL-STATES

The following students had outstanding auditions at Regional Choir this year and advanced to the All-State Choir in Valley Forge, PA from Wednesday, April 22, through Saturday, April 25. The closing concert will take place that Saturday, with guest conductor Paul Oakley from Catawba College, North Carolina. In order to advance to All-States, a vocalist must place in the top four of the twenty-two in their section in the Regional Chorus Audition. Congratulations to these excellent musicians!
