Appalachian Plateau

This is the largest landform region in PA. It covers 2/3 of the state. Sometimes this region is called the Allegheny Plateau. A plateau is higher than the land around it and is usually flat on top. It covers the entire northern and western parts of the state except the Lake Erie Lowland.
