Let’s Look Back

Here is a map of Pennsylvania with all the landform regions named.

Elevation is the height of land above sea level.

A plain is a piece of nearly flat land.

A plateau is high land which is flat on top.

A valley is low land between mountains or hills.

Ridges are long, narrow chains of mountains, one after the other.

Piedmont means land at the foot of the mountains.

The Piedmont Region is called the garden spot of the world.

A landform is what the surface of the Earth looks like.
