Process
1. Decide which team member will be responsible for
each age group: infant, toddler or pre-school.
2. Research the safety standards for "safe" toys for your
assigned age-group.
3. Research toys developmentally appropriate for your age
group.
4. Create a poster which presents your findings for 5 age
appropriate and safe toys.
5. Your five toys should focus on at least two areas of child
development. (example, don't
choose five riding toys, which would help mainly
physical development).
6. The poster should include the age-group, pictures of the
toys, and reasons why each toy you chose
is safe, appealing, and developmentally appropriate for
your age group
7. As a team you will present your findings to the class.
You will explain your poster and research information
on toy safety, how each toy is appropriate for the
child's stage of development and why you think it
would appeal to your age-group.
